The philosophy behind our name

Our name comes from individuation, Carl Jung’s idea of becoming the person you have the potential to be.
Learning shaped around who your child is, with room for who they could become.
Understand what draws your child in, how they make choices and where their confidence is growing. Give them space to follow those interests further.
Your child’s day is already full of learning: in play, conversations, experiments and the things they love doing. Log those natural moments to see the skills within them and understand how they contribute to your child’s learning and growth.
Write a few words or record a voice note about something your child enjoyed, on the website or straight from WhatsApp. Individa helps you recognise the skills they demonstrated or practised, and keeps a dated record of that learning.
As moments accumulate, patterns emerge: what holds their attention, how they solve problems, where their confidence grows and what they might enjoy trying next.
Use the growing picture of your child to choose projects that build on their interests, discover new possibilities and gently develop less explored skills. Share that understanding with a tutor when useful.
A few minutes inside the app, following Mariella through a week: a moment sent from the car, the patterns that begin to show, ideas shaped by what she already loves, and a portfolio ready to share with a tutor or the local authority.
Mariella is an example child, the same one used throughout the demo, so nothing in the film comes from a real family’s account.
There is no app to open and no form to fill. Send Individa a line of text or a quick voice note from the car after swimming, the park or the garden.
It feeds straight into your child’s Individa account: the moment is logged, the skills and topics inside it are identified, and it joins their record with the date on it.

Individa is for families with children aged 2 to 14. These four examples reflect different starting points: new to home education, curiosity-led from the outset, learning around other talents, or adding curiosity-led learning alongside school. You may recognise parts of your family in more than one.
The noise and rules at school overwhelmed Alfie. His parents have just brought him home, and they have never home educated before.
They need a place to start, ideas drawn from what Alfie loves, and a way to see that he is learning even when the day looks nothing like school.
Iris has been home educated from the start. Her parents have no wish to rebuild school at the kitchen table: they believe in curiosity-led learning and playing to her strengths.
